Powerhire provided the rental generators and fuel tanks for this year’s Ramblin’ Man Fair. This is only the second year for the Ramblin’ Man Fair which was a huge sensation last year in the idyllic setting of the beautiful Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent.
It’s a two day music festival at the end of July celebrating classic and contemporary rock, progressive rock, blues and country and has a unique philosophy …it’s a rock festival designed for rock fans by rock fans!
The Spirit Of Rock, who host the festival, intended to create the ultimate festival experience for their guests. Not only was there an outstanding line-up of great acts from across the world such as Airbourne, The Graveltones, The White Buffalo, Von Hertzen Brothers, Whitesnake and many more, the very best in food and drink was also on offer, which included their own beer festival. Accommodation included Glamping at the Ranch in Mote Park and Camping at The Mote with VIP facilities hosting a special bar with viewing.
Rental generators were required to provide festival power in order to deliver this spectacular experience. Innovation Power who were providing the electrical distribution for the Ramblin’ Man Fair contacted our Technical Sales Manager to discuss the rental generators that were required to supply enough power for the entire festival. Innovation Power’s Project Manager knew us very well just from being on the festival circuit and he was keen to use our festival ready, super silent rental generators especially as we are a locally based company with one of our main power rental depots just around the corner.
Our Technical Sales Manager liaised with the client on several occasions to put together the best rental package for the various live music stages, merchandise stalls, the luxury VIP area, the numerous bars and beer tents, eateries and the diverse accommodation of basic camping facilities to the luxury glamping areas.
Once agreed, the 23 rental generators and 20 fuel tanks were booked into the schedule by the rental coordinator and serviced accordingly before being transported to site a week prior to the start of the event.
On the agreed date Powerhire delivered and installed 2 x 500kVA sets, 2 x 300kVA generators, 5 x 200kVA sets and a variety of rental generators ranging from 30 to 100kVA in accordance with the client’s festival power site map. All equipment was suitably tested and commissioned by our engineers to the satisfaction of the client before leaving site. Once the festival commenced one of our engineers returned to site to baby site the equipment as a precautionary measure.
For the second year running the Ramblin’ Man Flair was a huge success and the client was very impressed with the smooth running of our rental generators, locking us in for the rental power for their next festival.
