It was announced earlier in the year that, for the sixth consecutive year, the Capital Summertime Ball was being held at Wembley Stadium. Capital FM promised their ‘most insane line-up ever’ and boy did they deliver!
The first sensational artist to be announced was the hugely popular One Direction, returning to Wembley for the first time as a four-piece. Joining them in this epic line-up were Avicii, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Derulo, Olly Murs, Carly Rae Jepson, Sam Smith, Pitbull, Meghan Trainor, Rita Ora, Neyo, Little Mix, Flo-Rida and many more fabulous & famous artists!
The Event Company dealing with the lighting & power distribution at this concert, having worked with PowerHire on numerous occasions, approached us for the provision of power generation. In addition to this they were well aware of our experience of working within Wembley Stadium and our knowledge of site access areas and power supply locations, therefore it seemed a natural solution to once again work together on this occasion.
Powerhire’s power generation costs were well within the Event Company’s budget and having always been completely comfortable working alongside our Engineers as well as confident that we would provide them with the most modern, high specification and super silent power generation available …it was a ‘done’ deal.
The Event Company knew exactly what their power generation requirements were and therefore Powerhire provided them with 4 x 500kVA rental generators with Litton tales as well as rental fuel tanks.
As always, prior to the power generation delivery, Powerhire’s Engineers serviced and load tested the rental generators to prove that they would parallel together and in no way let the end client down.
The Ball was a phenomenal success, with uninterrupted power generation throughout, and from the moment One Direction took to the stage, every one of the huge Wembley crowd knew they were in for something special.
