Generator Power Supports 2 Year London Development
Early in 2017, the generator power for one of the long term London housing development schemes we have supported, and still are, started to make its way back to our Kent Depot. This well-known and successful UK house builder was ready to launch The Residence development in March 2017.
The scheme commenced in 2015 and by the time this reputable family-owned company was preparing for its launch around the same time our engineers arrived onsite to begin the process of removing the generator power, more than 510 flats in the scheme had been sold.
The Residence’s luxurious development of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments is in the heart of London’s new diplomatic quarter. It forms part of the major transformation of this once industrial area into a thriving residential and business district at the heart of the capital. All of these new homes are superbly appointed and enjoy picturesque views over the River Thames, or surrounding piazzas, parks and public spaces.
As The Residence launches the overall development continues and with the removal of one of our 300kVA generators and bulk fuel tanks, generator power is still required as much of the development is on the final stages of construction. Our service engineers, as regular out of hours visitors to the site for over 2 years have witnessed this amazing transformation in London’s SW8.
This development is colossal, providing not only new homes with exceptional specifications and landmark views but also new stations, improved rail links and two new schools as well as a proposed pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Thames connecting this part of the south bank with Pimlico.
Another major focus of the areas transformation are large outdoor shopping areas and parades, restaurants and pavement cafés as well as hotels, event space, galleries and a linear park.
The scheme is modern and sustainable and Powerhire have been proud to be a reliable generator power support partner. With 2 x 150kVA, 1 x 100kVA and 2 x 500kVA generators still on site as well as several bulk fuel tanks we will remain constant visitors while our service engineers continue to carry out the out of hours generator servicing approximately every 3 weeks until the final phases of construction come to an end.
