60kVA – 300kVA Event Generators Support Outdoor London Festival
Following the huge success of supplying event generators in previous years for Innovation Power, early in 2017 they once again made contact for this year’s support packages for some of their events in the South East.
Innovation are power distribution experts for all types of events, festivals and live broadcasting across the UK and it would once again be a pleasure to work with them. Their requirement was for several music festivals including Ramblin’ Man, Wilderness and a couple of smaller ones in Finsbury Park. The first for us, to kick off the season working with Innovation were event generators as well as associated fuel tanks for the Southport Weekender Festival in Finsbury Park during the weekend of 10th June.
The Southport Weekender Festival returned this year having taken a break in 2015 after 28 successful years of parties. Their 2017 return saw them host their first outdoor London festival at the iconic Finsbury Park, presenting some of dance music’s most diverse sounds from US House to Techno, Soul to Disco, as well as Hip Hop to Funk plus UK garage and more!
Innovation’s Project Manager discussed with us the allocation of the event generators and fuel tanks he needed for the festival in order to provide power to 2 stages, the main bars and eateries, a smaller stage and the trade stands. Once we knew of his exact requirements our hire coordinator programmed them into our rental schedule for delivery to site over the 6th and 7th June.
Several days prior to the event our rental team routinely serviced all the necessary equipment before the first load of event generators and fuel tanks were loaded onto the artic lorries for an early delivery on 6th June. In total over the 2 days our engineers delivered 2 lorry loads of generator power for the festival. On both days Innovation’s Project Manager and his team of electricians met us onsite to advise the location of each event generator and fuel tank so they could carry out the necessary electrical distribution to power up the stages, bars and traders in accordance with the site map.
Our engineers offloaded the equipment and ensured the 4 x 300kVA, 2 x 150kVA, 2 x 100kVA and 60 kVA event generators and associated fuel tanks were all securely positioned in the designated locations in accordance with any relevant H&S legislation.
Following the very successful return of the sun drenched Southport Weekender Festival, our logistics team returned to site to pick up the generator power and fuel tanks on the 13th and 14th June.
