Powerhire Powers New Product Research for Global Chemical Company
Having previously worked for the Research Department of this Global Chemical Company, Powerhire were once again happy to offer their rental generator expertise for another long term project.
The requirement was for the provision of temporary power to bespoke state of the art fluid chillers that were being used to control the temperature during trials for new chemical compounds.
This innovative chemical company employing over 600u people worldwide with manufacturing sites in Europe, Middle East, South Africa, Canada, India and South America manufacture, sell and distribute a wide range of synthetic resins and polymers to a diverse range of markets and as before Powerhire were only too aware of the critical nature of the temporary power required.
When contacted by the client who provided the specification for the power requirements, Powerhire designed a temporary power solution with a load demand function giving the best fuel economy possible which proved to be very cost effective over the 1 year rental period.
Powerhire’s Engineers arrived on site and installed 2 x 500kVA generators together with a 300kVA generator operating in parallel on a load demand basis, all of which were being fuelled by 2 x 6200Ltr fully bunded fuel tanks together with the necessary cabling and electrical distribution to complete the temporary power package. Following installation the rental power supply was tested and commissioned to the relevant electrical standards before Powerhire’s Engineers left site.
Due to the crucial nature of the power being maintained to ensure the temperature remained constant during the product trials Powerhire’s Service Division sent a Service Engineer to site every three weeks to service all the generators. And, once again, no major problems occurred for the duration of the research project
