Event Power for The BeastEvent power was required for the UK’s first ever outing of ‘The Beast’, an extreme inflatable assault course, over a 2 day festival put on in the stunning Kent countryside over the bank holiday weekend in early May.

With two depots based in Kent, Powerhire  were contact by the organisers several months in advance of the arrival of ‘The Beast’ to ascertain their availability for the provision of the complete event power package.  Inevitably power was required for ‘The Beast’, the world’s largest inflatable assault course measuring in at a whopping 893ft.  Power was also needed for the main stage, festival vendors and bars throughout the festival grounds.  Although the star of the show is ‘The Beast’ there was still something for everyone, not just adventure seekers and adrenaline junkies.  Not only was the weekend’s festival filled with some of the world’s most extreme Event Power for The Beastactivities to get the blood pumping it also delivered on its promise of fantastic live music, unique performances and live acts, beer tents and plenty of delicious food stalls.

The organisers of the event forwarded the festival site map of relevant equipment which required powering to our Technical Sales Manager who specified the most suitable event power package, including generators, distribution, cabling, fuel and lighting towers.

Event Power for The BeastOne critical piece of information relating to the allocation of suitable equipment was the fact that there was a small bridge with a weight limit of 12 tonne on entering the festival site.  This was a huge consideration as it would be impossible to drive across the bridge with an artic fully loaded with the event power package.   It was therefore necessary to ensure that the heaviest pieces of equipment were on road-tow trailers.

Two days prior to the opening of the gates of the first ever introduction to the UK of ‘The Beast’ our installation engineers arrived onsite with Event Power for The Beast road tow generators, lighting towers and fuel tank loaded onto the arctic lorry and the remaining distribution boards, rental cable was loaded into a service van and truck.  The team arrived onsite and unloaded the arctic just in front of the bridge with the 12 tonne weight limit.   The event power was then towed across the bridge piece by piece and located into the relevant positions as dictated by the festival site map.

Event Power for The BeastUtilising the rental cable our engineers made the necessary connections into the distribution units, generators and fuel tank until the installation was completed and commissioned before leaving site.

This fun filled big and little kids playground in the beautiful surroundings of the Kent country side was hugely well attended and ‘The Beast’ proved to be a roaring success!

On the scheduled day our engineers returned to site and de-commissioned the event power and once again worked in reverse and fastidiously towed the generators, lighting towers and fuel tank across the bridge before loading it back onto the arctic and leaving site.
