Loadbank Testing to Prove UPS Performance

LoadBank Testing: 2 x Rental UPS’

Project Overview:

Powerhire were contacted by a regular client to undertake loadbank testing on 2 new rental UPS’ [Uninteruppted Power Supply] they had just purchased to add to their fleet.  It is common policy to carry out loadbank testing on new equipment to prove it’s integrity and to enable it’s commissioning and configuration before commencement of it being rented to a client.

Our Technical Sales Manager specified an 1100kw resistive loadbank to carry out the necessary tests.  Our logistics team delivered the loadbank to site as well as 2 x rental generators and rental cable to power the UPS’ whilst the testing was carried out.

Our engineers installed the generators and the client set up the loadbanks to connect to each UPS for the required tests.  Once our client had completed the loadbank testing, commissioning and configuration on the 2 new rental UPS’  our engineer returned to site to decommission the generator and remove all equipment from their depot.
